På detta spår kommer du att få lära dig hur du på ett enklare sätt kan skapa siktade lösningar med hjälp av Silverlight Business Framework. Du kommer även att få ta del av den senaste information kring utvecklingen av Silverlight, AJAX och MVC Framework. Dessutom kommer vi att titta närmare på några av de trender och fokusområden på webben som kan vara intressant för dig som utvecklare.

Framtidens webb har vi ju pratat om under alla år som Developer Summit har funnits, utvecklingen där går dock så fort så att vi även i år kommer att ta upp frågor kring kommande webb-teknologier.

Web Testing for Developers with Application Models

Talare: Scott Bellware

Programmers are taking on greater responsibilities for testing as teams push for the elimination of handoffs that degrade productivity. Writing code is a natural way for programmers to automate web testing, and model-driven development is a familiar way for programmers to approach the design of functional tests.

The result is a functional test suite that is as semantically rich as an application's domain layer. Test code is easier to read and understand, and reflects the intention of the business while quieting the browser automation tooling noise. This session demonstrates some basic uses of the Selenium web testing framework while showing developers and testers alike how to model their applications from the outside-in with behavior driven development and application models, and how to test the application through those models.

Windows Azure är Microsofts stora satsning på att erbjuda en komplett plattform för molnbaserade applikationer och tjänster. I den här sessionen går vi igenom vilka olika delar Azure innehåller och hur du som webbutvecklare kan uttnyttja plattformen. Vi undersöker hur nya webbapplikationer kan utvecklas från grunden och driftsättas i Azure, men visar även på hur befintliga lösningar kan dra nytta av tjänsterna i molnplattformen.

Jumpstart Your Web Site with ASP.NET Dynamic Data

Do you need to get a web site setup quickly? Why code all the pages yourself when you can use the ASP.NET Dynamic Data to build the initial pages based on your data schema?  This new feature creates the .aspx pages for you based on your data.  The pages can be used directly, or you can customize the pages to add your own look and feel. 

You can augment the data model for the site to include information that can automatically create the necessary validation controls!  Included are a set of Field Template controls that are user controls to edit particular types of data, these can be customized once and apply to all page templates used on the site.  Don't start with nothing when you need to create a new site, take advantage of the ASP.NET Dynamic Data support to have a functional site very quickly and simply customize it to get a great site!

Building ASP.NET Websites with Entity Framework and ObjectDataSource

Creating data entry websites with Entity Framework can be challenging. If you want to build an application with business layers, the EntityDataSource control won't cut it. ObjectDataSource lets you build ASP.NET pages using your own business objects, and you can use this with entity objects if you know the proper patterns to use. This session will demonstrate how to create interactive web pages using Object Data Source with the Entity Framework providing the objects and the data access layer.

Things Every ASP.NET Developer Should Know

There are many things you need to know to be a good ASP.NET developer.  Do you understand the basics of HTTP?  Do you know what a request and response look like "on the wire"?  Do you take advantage of HTTP compression and expirations to reduce bandwidth and requests to your web site?  Benefit from many years of experience with web development and discover features, tools, and techniques that you may have never used before.  Utilize response filters and adapters to modify the output of your pages.  There will be a wide variety of useful tips that can be taken and used today on your ASP.NET web sites
