Muting the Microphones

The students can mute their microphones, which might be highly appreciated by their class mates. You can also take control by muting the whole class.

First, don’t be afraid to advice the students to mute their microphones. It’s easily understood that the sound of someone’s keyboard or throat clearing might be distracting for the class, and none of your students would like being the source of such an annoyance.

There is also a function you as a meeting host might have use for, that mute the whole class. You find it at the bottom of the “Participant” menu. Also, note that when you choose “Unmute all”, you will only unmute those muted by you, while those who muted themselves will stay muted until they decide otherwise.
